And text and an image beneath it. This is accomplished with the multi-column content grid, a SUPER powerful layout. You can achieve a bunch of layouts with this one module alone. To use start by adding the layout wrappers start module above it, and the layout wrapper end module below it. Think of each individual Multi-Column Content grid (MCCG) module as a row, each row contains 12 columns. So here the content is in one 5 column content area, right of this is an empty content area of 1 column to act as a spacer, and right of that is another content area with the image placed in it.

Since each of these modules is treated like a row, this section (content, spacer, & image) is one Multi-Column Content Grid (MCCG) module, and directly above this is a different MCCG module for the title text. The title text MCCG module contains one 12 column content area with the header 2 text center aligned.

Web development is all smoke and mirrors.

The anchor nav module is up next. There are two parts to this one, the module itself which is how you place where it starts and stops within the page. The second part is designating which sections get added to it. The “Title/Anchor Nav” tab in the backend is where you check the box to add it to the anchor nav, as well as edit the anchor link name.

Content and Media Slider

This module allows you to define content on the left or right, and then add a static image or slide show opposite the text. There’s a button to determine whether it should be full width (edge of browser to edge of browser, the way it is now) or constrained to the general content area (see multi column content grid for edges of content area).

The image slide show gets defined in the ‘images’ tab, there you can add images as well as turn on/off the dots and arrows. If you wanted a static image then you’d probably also want to turn those off.

One More thing, this one uses the gradient background option.

Vital Design

Another content and media slider, the static version, still full width (not constrained). This one also has the content on the right. Also, to get this back-fourth effect, you’ll want to click on the spacing tab and remove the padding and margin for the ones that directly abut each other. If it isn’t looking just right, check the spacing tab.

One more thing, this one has the topographic elements turned on, you can do that in the ‘background tab’.

One more content/media slider, this one is constrained to the content area for demo purposes.

Full Width Image With CTA

Title says it all, full width image and a little white box with this text in it. Don’t forget to set your background image in the ‘background’ tab. Other helpful options in that section include background size and placement. In general the best background size option is ‘cover’ it ensures that the background image will always fill the space. Background position determines how the background image will be ‘cropped’, I always just center the image, but if there’s something at the top of the pic that you want to show then you might want to choose ‘top center’. Go ahead and experiment with the options.

I just wanted to express my gratitude for a great job done!  Ian, Tayler & Jeremy  were incredibly personable, knowledgeable, and obviously highly skilled at the tasks at hand.  Ian conducted a thorough safety briefing and took the time to explain all the steps of what the day was going to entail.  The team was always willing to explain the process and answer all our questions throughout the day.  It is very impressive to watch a team that works so well together, executing each step with precision and professionalism.  Their level of communication while executing their tasks was really great to see.  I’ve found in my career even good teams fail to properly communicate while performing their duties. The ARE team obviously understands the potential risks to life and equipment and they take their jobs seriously. The inspectors from ARE, Steve Williams and Nick Ray did an excellent Job. They put in long hours and completed a very thorough inspection. They were great to work with and respected all of Amtrak’s safety rules. Also, the guys flying the drones, Nick Ray and Ian Ray did a great job and were very respectful of the No-Fly Zone due to the bald eagle in the area. They had a great work plan and completed it. Hope we can use these guys again in the future.

We imported ARE’s topographic contours into a publicly accessible web map in ArcGIS Online. The ARE data gave us a solid foundation for completing our fieldwork, and clients were able to access our data and follow the progress as it happened in the field. ARE’s data allowed us to quickly and effectively target field observations. Once we were done with the fieldwork, we used ARE’s data and our observations to define drainage area boundaries and gully profiles and ultimately to set priorities for moving ahead with designs to fix some long-standing erosion and drainage problems.
