Additionally, we managed the preparation of two capital assessment reports that provided an overall capital program prioritizing improvements corresponding to the agency’s budget.

  • Crab Orchard and Egyptian Railroad, Marion, IL: ARE performed the bridge inspection of 11 bridge structures for this newly purchased rail line. We also developed detailed repair recommendations and priorities.

  • Central Midland Railway, St. Louis, MO: The Central Midland has more than 60 bridges on several subdivisions spanning over 100 miles of rail. ARE is responsible for preparing annual bridge inspection reports for this area that include a bridge inventory providing the bridge location, feature crossing, spans and span lengths, bridge type, and special comments; a recommendation report documenting bridge condition and serving as a workable repair program; and inspection reports for each bridge.

  • Progressive Rail, WI/MN: ARE is responsible for preparing a Bridge Management Plan and annual bridge inspection reports that include a bridge inventory providing the bridge location, feature crossing, spans and span lengths, bridge type, and special comments; a recommendation report documenting bridge condition and serving as a workable repair program; and inspection reports for each bridge. Julina has focused her education and work experience on the design and assessment of bridges.
